Trevor Turner, MD, FAAP
Dr. Turner is a native Texan and attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating, in 1987, with a BBA in Finance. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston in 1991. In 1996 he completed his combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at UT Houston, where he served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Turner practiced in Houston for two years then moved to the Round Rock-Austin area in 1998 where he was a founding member of Brushy Creek Family Physicians. His medical interests include preventative care for both children and adults and cardiovascular disease treatment and prevention, among others. He has privileges at Round Rock Medical Center and participates on several committees at the hospital serving as Chief of Staff in 2003. He is also a clinical assistant professor at the Texas A&M medical school. His medical affiliations include the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, the Texas Medical Association and the Williamson County Medical Society. Dr. Turner is married to Kelly Thorstad, MD and they have two children. He enjoys running, music, UT sports and coaching youth sports in his spare time.
